The Challenge: Launching and Scaling a New Product Category
MyFitness, one of India’s fastest-growing fitness-first brands, set out to expand beyond its flagship peanut butter and enter the high-protein snack market. Their vision was to launch a high-protein bar without compromising taste, texture, or quality. But this meant navigating:
- A new product category with high consumer expectationsThe need for a high-protein formulation with no added sugar or preservatives

Creating a High-Protein Bar Consumers Love
Suite42 worked closely with the MyFitness team to design a bar that aligned with their tagline, “Health ka Tasty Partner.”
- Developed a 33% protein bar using carefully selected protein sources
- Ensured the recipe had no added sugar, no preservatives, and retained a crunchy, chocolaty texture
- Conducted a detailed competitive analysis of existing bars in terms of ingredients, nutrition, pricing, and taste
- Created multiple prototypes for sensory evaluation to optimize flavour and mouthfeel
The goal was to build a product that balanced nutrition, functionality, and indulgence, not just meet benchmarks.
Manufacturing Setup with Quality Built In
Suite42 managed the full setup from identifying the right manufacturing partner to ensuring strict quality control.
- Manufacturer Identification: Vetted and onboarded a partner with the right capabilities for bar production and scalability
- Pilot Production: Scaled the formulation to small batches, finalized vendors for raw material procurement, and conducted key lab studies for:
- Moisture content
- Oxidation
- Microbial stability
- Obtained necessary reports, including Nutritional Information and Shelf Life testing
This step ensured the bar was commercialization-ready without sacrificing safety or shelf stability.

Packaging Designed for Performance and Compliance
Packaging was a critical factor in extending shelf life and ensuring safe transit.
- Optimized packaging materials for moisture resistance and long-term product integrity
- Conducted packaging trials to assess durability during shipping and storage
- Finalized artwork and labeling in adherence with regulatory guidelines to ensure market readiness
This allowed the bar to maintain its freshness and visual appeal from production to consumption.
Scaling Production and Driving Continuous Improvement
Suite42 transitioned MyFitness from pilot batches to commercial-scale production while optimizing for efficiency and speed.
- Procured raw and packaging materials from vetted vendors
- Optimized the formulation for large-scale production using validated process notes
- Established a robust quality control system with:
- Hourly checks across production lines
- Daily production reporting
- Batch testing and retention sampling for long-term analysis
